Spread the love

Namaste! To all those people who have found a calling and soul in the mountains and those who wait with utmost patience for those long weekends. Running to the mountains is in our blood now.

We all have detected concerning the Parvati valley and have think of  once become hippies to travel up there. Well, if you wish to be a small amount a lot of adventure then  do a trek, then Kheerganga it is!

Kheerganga trek could be a trek that has become too famous these days,  because of the recognition of Kasol as a hippy joint. It receives a daily flow of trekkers, as a fraction of the party crowd in Kasol gathers enough motivation to undertake this one out.

HOW TO DO IT?

DAY 0

After all the trouble and waiting and infinite glances on your office watch , take a HRTC Roadways bus at 8:30 PM from Kashmiri Gate ISBT. The bus may be a non-ac semi-sleeper. tho’ you have got to compromise on the luxuries of a Volvo or Mercedes, you’ll have a comfy  semi-sleeper bus. The bus ride is safe. The another advantage of this bus is that it doesn’t soak up passengers from the main junctions it crosses and so saves time. the price of the ticket is Rs 671 only! Hurry up and book a seat on the proper hand aspect of the bus to rouse to a rising sun across Beas river. it’ll steal your heart away!

DAY 1

The bus drops, between 7am-8am, right at the pick-up point of the native busses that travel from Bhuntar to Barshaini or Manikaran. One has to specify that the conductor or the driving force if the bus is up to Manikaran or Barshaini. The price ticket to Barshaini is for Rs. 100. decide a seat on the left aspect of the bus for a few incredibly and insane views.

There are  2 ways of trek , one through the jungle ranging from Kalga that I wouldn’t suggest as it’s a path less taken by hikers. therefore get to the dam (second way) and take the steps down . Once that’s done, take the route through Nakthan village to Rudranag so to Kheerganga. Take a brief break at Nakthan within the 1st restaurant .
